Cuando la Guerra también estaban todos los días registrando los fascistas en las casas de los Rojos, buscaban con rabiosa y asesinadora saña a los huidos por todos los lugares, desde debajo de la cama hasta el mismo tejado, y de camino todo lo que tuviese algún valor los condenados abierta y desafiantemente lo robaban, no respetando los ruegos de los viejos ni de nadie que se presentará. Claro que los soldados no hacían tales canallescas cobardías, pues estos hechos tan sumamente sucios e infinitamente despreciables y asquerosos no lo hacían nada más que los llamados guardias de asalto, y los falangistas del pueblo o aldea donde se llevaban a cabo. Estos despreciables individuos, no eran falangistas nada más que de nombre, porque un buen falangista jamás haría lo que estos infernales caciques de aldea han hecho. Que desde luego no ha sido otra cosa, que robar los menguados intereses del vencido, así como asesinarle con vengativa y cobardosa saña. —En los tiempos pasados, cuando en los mercados se compraban los ganados y las cosas, uno tenía que saber bien registrarlas todas, porque con ser todas naturales, ninguna tenía la garantía que todo tiene hoy, así era, que desde el pollino hasta el huevo, no dejando de lado la gallina que lo había puesto, y desde las almadreñas hasta un astil para la guadaña, todo lo había que registrar y muy bien, ya que el pollino podía estar arreventado por el trabajo, o los malos tratos que hubiera recibido, o tener muchos otros males, el huevo podía estar podre, y las almadrenas podían ser de madera de baja calidad, así como el astil, también podía estar hecho de mala madera de fresno y sus manecillas o agarraderas, ser propias de no estar bien ajustadas y al usarlas moverse continuamente. —Los únicos que no registraban bien ya por aquel suceder después de la guerra, eran los guardias civiles cuando buscaban por las cabañas o cuadras de monte a los huidos, que ya habían demostrado que para cogerles había que luchar, y todo porque el miedo es propio del que aunque sirve a la Ley, sabe muy bien que no camina en el atajo de la Humana Justicia.
